Your data will be processed by Santos Baptista & Baptista – Advogados, SP, RL, a civil professional partnership with limited liability, registered in the National Register of Legal Persons with nº 516175858 and in the Portuguese Bar Association with nº 2/2021. Its office locates at Rua Mestre de Aviz, nº 13A, Block A, Loja 1 – 2780-230 Santo Amaro de Oeiras, Oeiras.
SB & B is responsible for the processing of personal data within the scope of the General Data Protection Regulation.
We will process your personal data for the following purposes: fulfilling a contract, such as legal service contracts, partnership agreements or contracts with our suppliers; pursuing our legitimate interests, in particular to develop and maintain our website and to ensure network and information security; providing services or information.
Our data retention policy consists of retaining such data only for the period “necessary” to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. However, in certain cases we may retain data for longer periods, in particular when the Law requires.
Nevertheless, at any time, you can request access to the information we are keeping about you (as a customer, partner or supplier). You also have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not the personal data concerning you is subject to treatment. If applicable, you can access your personal data and the information provided by law. You can also request the rectification of the information if it is inaccurate or incomplete, and SB & B without undue delay, must rectify the inaccurate or incomplete data concerning you. You can also request the erasure of your personal data when one of the following reasons applies, namely: a) Personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose that motivated their collection or treatment; b) Withdrawal of consent to the processing of data (in cases where the processing is based on consent) and there is no other basis for such processing; c) Objection to processing and there are no prevailing legitimate interests that justify it.
As a data subject, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data, namely when: a) Contesting the accuracy of personal data for a period that allows SB & B to verify its accuracy; b) The processing of data is lawful and the data subject opposes the erasure of personal data and requests, in return, to limit its use; c) When SB & B no longer needs personal data for processing purposes, but these data are required by the holder for the purposes of declaring, exercising or defending a right in a judicial process; d) If you have opposed the processing, until it is found that the legitimate reasons of the controller are to prevail over those of the data subject.
Please note that you may object to the processing of your personal data. In cases where data processing is carried out for the purpose of the legitimate interests pursued by SB & B, you may at any time oppose the processing of your personal data. And if treatment depends on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it. In the event that consent is legally necessary for the processing of personal data, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time, although this right does not compromise the lawfulness of the treatment carried out on the basis of the previously given consent or the further processing of the same data, based on another legal basis, such as compliance with the contract or legal obligation to which SB & B is subject to.

Your requests will be treated with special care so that we can ensure the effectiveness of your rights. You may be asked to provide proof of your identity to ensure that personal data is shared only with the holder. You should keep in mind that in certain cases (for example, due to legal requirements) your request cannot be satisfied immediately. In any case, you will be informed of the measures taken in this direction, within one month from the moment the request is made.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission.
